Pita Bread with Lamb and Greek Yoghurt

« The Cretan diet required you to carry your bread, vegetables, cheese and olive oil with you. This pita will make you a light and healthy meal, just as it did for the peasants in ancient Greece. »

To prepare the ingredients


  • Wash and drain the vegetables
  • Finely slice the lettuce heart and zucchini
  • Cut the tomatoes into slices
  • Peel and finely chop the onion
  • Peel and chop the garlic
  • Cut the meat into thin strips


  • Mix the yoghurts with the garlic, salt and pepper and put them in the refrigerator
  • Split each pita ¾ way through lengthwise
  • Fill each pita with the vegetables and the meat, drizzle with olive oil and yoghurt mixed with garlic, and then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
