Tagliatelli with smoked salmon

Preparation time Preparation: 15 minutes – Cooking: 10 minutes

Serves 4:


  • Boil salted water in a large pot
  • Add tagliatelli and cook for 4-5 minutes until they are al dente
  • Drain tagliatelli
  • Return pot to heat
  • Melt butter
  • Add shallots and cook until tender for one minute
  • Add cream and eggs and mix energetically while lowering heat
  • Let mixture thicken for 3-4 minutes stirring continuously
  • Pepper and add tagliatelli
  • Mix for 1 minute
  • Remove from heat and add smoked salmon cut into thin strips and sprinkle with chopped dill
  • Salt if necessary
  • Serve hot sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese


You can garnish the dish with some salmon eggs and use linguini or broccoli pasta.

If you are adventuresome, try a splash of whisky in your cream sauce. Whisky goes very well with smoked salmon.
