Lamb curry with mashed sweet potatoes

Serves 6


Preparation of ingredients:

  • Peel and cut the onions into very thin slices
  • Cut the meat into thin slices as well
  • Peel the sweet potatoes



  • In a casserole or a large, thick-bottomed pot, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of clarified butter; add all the spices and fry them
  • Add the meat, salt, and mix together; add the yogurt
  • Lightly brown the meat, then cover and allow to simmer over low heat until the meat is perfectly soft and tender
  • In the meantime, cook the sweet potatoes in a pot of salted water
  • Drain and mash the sweet potatoes, add 2 tablespoons of clarified butter, and check the seasoning
  • Serve the lamb curry with the mashed sweet potatoes
